Wisconsin’s Glam Band Performs at Merrill’s Gazebo Nights At Normal Park

MERRILL – Local residents were rockin’ to the 80’s in Merrill on Thursday evening July 25th, as Wisconsin’s Glam Band was in town to entertain the crowd of thousands. Normal Park was packed from corner to corner with hair metal band lovers from around the state, as 80’s music lovers sang and danced along with the likes of “JUMP”, “Don’t Stop Believin'”, “Fight For Your Right”, “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “Sister Christian”. Band member Dee Flatt (Dave Schepp) briefly exited the stage (Normal Park’s Gazebo) and traveled through the crowd playing a cowbell.  As he weaved his way through people and lawn chairs, Dee solicited members of the crowd to give the bell a few knocks too!

Blue Jay 96.3 was live on site covering this very special night out for residents of Merrill and fans from outside the area as well. The 1948 Popcorn Wagon and the Shaved Ice trailer were also there providing tasty-treats for concert enthusiasts.

A great night of family fun and entertainment was enjoyed by all. The event was sponsored by Gus Caylor and team who organize the Merrill summer concert series Gazebo Nights at Normal Park.
